Four go mad in London via Dorset

Picked up Cat and Gavin and off we went via Charminster again for a change of clothes. Drove to London in record time (2 hours 15) and parked on random street which we guessed was near the venue- Got changed again in the street this time. Set off to find Imperial College- got to the end of the road and there it was! Then walked round in massive circle and found the entrance to the Freddie Mercury Birthday Party! Very small bar and stage and we instantly thought that was no chance that Roger or Brian would turn up. Saw a few people we know and Ste & Lee turned up. Bought a Queen t-shirt and stood near the stage. After the random Queen fans had sung a few songs and the karaoke had finished, Jeff Scott Soto came on stage- very long set but it was good. There were some very annoying people next to us who must have been on drugs. Jeff sang lots of cool Queen stuff and also remembered Cat for shouting ‘Take your trousers off’ at him! He even sang to her at one point! About 3 hours left, he finally finished, chatted for a bit to people and then left by 11. Drove through massive traffic jam passed the Albert Hall (Last night of the Proms), asked a random old man if he was Roger Taylor, and got to the Tottenham Court Road where we took photos of the Freddie statue and had burger King. More Traffic jams and got to Tower Bridge where we viewed David Blaine in a box (twat in a box). Finally got out of London at 1am and ended up back in Bristol at 3am!

  1. Aaah! So glad that when I finally found it, you think Blaine is a twat in a box too! Come and visit the Wake David site and share your views with the other converts!
