Went shopping in Broadmead and bought some new boots! Wore them out of the shop and threw the old ones in the bin in the centre! A kid made some comment as he walked past!!! Went to Cribbs too and bought some knickers and a top from M&S with some vouchers from Dan’s Gran and Grandad!We set off for Exeter and when we arrived, Roz cooked some yummy food for us! We went over to Andi’s and partied the night away!!!! Woohoo!! I love new year! Made it back to James and Roz’s by 3am and was soon asleep on the wonderful futon! :)
Woohoo! Its New years Eve!!! Dan and I are going shopping in Bristol in a bit then we are off to Exeter to spent New year with the Exeter gang!!!! I can’t wait :)
Managed a long day at work as I need some flexi time! Actually had some stuff to do all evening so it wasn’t too bad!!!! :)
I have spent most of the day at work thinking about money! I do this alot but as its nearly the start of the new year, I gave it more thought as I am just getting more and more frustrated with my money situation and I just feel I am getting no where with paying off the loans. I can’t quite believe that 2 and half years after leaving university, I still have this much debt. I can’t see that I will ever pay off my student loan. Because of the interest and the fact I wasn’t paying it for a year as I didn’t have a permenant job, means that I still owe the £12,500 that I started with, and I am paying such a small amount back in my wages every month, I am not getting anywhere! In saying this, the student loan is the least of my problems as it is so insignificant (although some people don’t think so) and can basically be ignored anyway! Yay! My other loans are getting me down. I have a fixed loan with Lloyds bank and I got it back in 2001 when I finsihed university as I had so many credit card debts and overdrafts. I feel this loan is going down so slowly and is costing too much so I have come up with a plan to pay it off and owe the money to my Grandparents instead, but I can manage to pay off £600 of it by next month, plus the £240 it will take from my bank account anyway so I won’t need to borrow too much from them! I can pay them back at £200 for 9 months meaning I will have paid it off by the end of the 2004! Yay! As for my other loan, I only have £2500 left on that now and will continue to pay £100 a month until the end 0f 2004 then start paying £300 a month and then it will be paid off! It will all be a money struggle in the mean time and I am worried that I am not going to be able to afford living in Bath very well when we move there in March as I know it will be more expensive than here but hopefully once I have paid off the Lloyds loan and start paying my Grandparents instead, I will have a bit more spare cash. I can’t believe money can be this difficult. Spending £10 a month on food is not good (and I can’t believe some people moan about having no money and then shop in Marks and Spencer for their food! They just have no idea what debt is about!), but I have £30 for next month so I might be able to eat a bit more!!! Asda here we come!
I finally feel I might be getting somewhere and may achieve an earlier date than planned for paying off my loans! I was aiming for August 2005! Fingers crossed as I cannot continue living with all these debts, it is affecting our chances of getting a mortgage even so the quicker I can pay it off the better!
Got up earlyish and packed up ALL our stuff! We had lots of pressies! Dan packed it all up in the car! Had lunch and then set off with Hannah for Hereford! Dropped her off then drove back to Bristol! Arrived back about 6pm, unpacked the car and went out for food at the Hungry Horse down the road! I had lasagne and Dan had a burger and we couldn’t eat it all! Watched the second part of the Major of Casterbridge and went to bed!
Dans Uncle, Aunty and cousin, plus his Gran, came round and arrived about 12! It was snowing lots in the morning, big flakes of snow!!! Yay! We opened some more presents (yay!) and had lunch! Attempted to go for a walk but walked for about 10 mins and it started to hailstone so we turned round and went back! I had to borrow Dans dads trainers to go out for the walk which was a bit strange! He he! Watched a film in the afternoon and then had tea! Crumpets!!!! They all left and we watched the Major of Casterbridge and had another early night!
Got up late and we were both feeling better! Took Hannah, Dans sister into town! It was very busy so we just got a couple of things and paid our christmas money into the bank! Got some food for the evening. Dan played on the playstation all afternoon and then in the evening Dan and I made Chicken stir fry (lots of different types) and its was yummy! Watched the TV all evening and had an early night! Still not 100% better!
Woke up early after not really sleeping at all! Dan got up and then threw up! What a start to the day! Didn’t leave for Oxford until 11am after getting mum and Mike to put stuf in the car as Dan was being sick and my body was exhausted and I couldn’t move!!! Dan was only being sick every two hours so he decided he could just about drive! We stopped once at Ringwood where we had a rest then got to the A34, just on the M3 when Dan was sick in a layby! Made it the rest of the way to Oxford to see Dans Grandparents and parents. We were just ill for hours. Dan had a sleep and some toast and then felt much better so we left for Dans parents (they had already left) at 7ish. Got back to Stafford via the new M6 toll road which was lovely and quiet but cost £2! Took just less than 2 hours. Soon went to bed to try and feel better! :)
Got up early and Dan drove us to Dads. Stopped for half an hour and then drove to Gran and Grandads to pick them up! Arrived back at mums by 11.30. David, Laura and Morgan arrived just after and we all unwrapped lots of pressies! Had some champagne and orange juice and got quite drunk really! David, Laura and Morgan left and we had lunch! Yummy! I had about 6 sausages and bacon. Lazed around all afternoon after drinking more wine! Managed to eat one cheese and biscuit and then after about an hour, started to throw up thanks to a stomach bug from Morgan. Was sick every hour until about 2am!!! Lovely!
