After last night and losing my wallet I didn’t think it could get any worse. Whilst driving to work, I realised I had left my coat at home, then I realised that my pass to get in the building and log on to the flexi time was in the coat pocket, then I realised I had left my lunch in the fridge at home. Parked up and the top hinge of my driver side door broke completely. I managed to put the door back on and lock it and rollerskated in to work. Was sulking most of the morning but then started to feel better. Was asked if I was feeling better and said yes, then my pen exploded biro ink all over my hands! Fantastic. Met Ross for lunch to claim back my missing wallet from him! It was cold and rained on me (with no coat!). Took car to get a quote to have the door mended after driving it along the A road home with a gap between the door and the car that I could fit my finger through. Very worrying.
Tommorrow has to be a better day!
Went back to wotk today for the first time in 2 weeks and a day! Very hard going getting up at 6.30 and I am very upset that I have to miss my daytime TV routine!!!! Drove my car to work even though the door is a bit dodgy! Parked up in Totterdown and walked down which wasn’t too bad but must speal to the guy at work about car sharing ASAP! Didn’t have many emails to go through anb had managed to catch up on everything by the end of the day!
Went home via Sainsburys on the Bath Road, filled up with perytol and was just deciding if I should have a chocolate bar when I realised that I had forgotton my wallet!!!! Had to go and explain to the Cashier and fill in a form saying I would come back and pay within a week. Got home about 5 and there was no sign of my wallet at home so asked Dan if he had it- No, so then phoned Ross who drove us to Reading yesterday. He was still at work so would check his car when he got home! Got a phone call at 8 to say he had found it on the back seat!!! Yay!!! Things can only get better!
Had such a terrible hangover when I woke up! We all finally left the house at about 1 and went to The Oracle which is Readings town centre shopping centre and Reading was much nicer than I thought it would be! Jacki, Fiona and I looked at wedding rings whilst Ross and Dan ran away! Bought Lewis a birthday which we all signed, including Louises friends he has never met then Ross drove Jacki, Dan and I back to Chippenham. I still felt awful byt the time we got home so I had a bath and then went to bed from 5-7 then got ready to go back to work for the first time in 2 weeks!
Went to Sainsburys this morning to buy a new bra due to the pain my old one was giving me after trying to sew it up so many times but it kept breaking. Jacki and Ross picked us up about 11.30 and we went to Mels house (Jacki’s sister) and went out to lunch with them and her mum! Had a massive double cheese and bacon burger :) Helped pack up her mums car with Mels stuff and they headed back to Dorchester so we drove round for ages looking for a supermarket. Found a safeway in the end and bought some wine and nibbles and arrived at Louises house at 5ish. The house was lovely, bit like the one Dan and I have got but alot bigger as there are 4 of them living there! Drank far too much wine in the evening, and ate lots of nibbles. Don’t really remember much of the evening at all! Had fun though! :)
Had a busy day! Put together the chest of drawers we got from Ikea which took just over an hour! I managed to get all the bits in the right places :) Didn’t manage to watch much day time TV though- even missed half of doctors- what am I going to do when I get back to work?!! Went to town and bought two magazines that had Queen in them this month at the cost of £7!!!! Also finally managed to get the links removed in my watch I got for xmas so I can actually wear it!! Took a whole boot full of cardboard to the tip aswell then went out rollerskating! Cooked lasagne for dinner, then Dan and I spent the whole evening watching TV to see the last episode of ‘Sex in the city’!
Our fantastic Roger Taylor was on Radio 2 yesterday. Find the interview to download on www.roger-taylor.net. Fantastic comment about his trousers :)
Got up early and went over to Bristol and spent 4 hours cleaning the old house! My carpet seems to have gone grey and is covered in dust! James had to leave early so we left some bits and bobs for him to finish in the kitchen another day! Cat, Dan and I went to Ikea and Dan and I spent SO much money! Had to do two trips to get all the stuff home so I had to wait in Bristol while Dan took the first lot home! We got two bookcases, two cd racks, a table with 4 chairs, two extra chairs and a shoe rack (which is slightly too big for where we want to put it so I will have to saw the ends off!)
Put some of the flat pack together in the evening but the house is still full of boxes and cardboard!
Dan and I got up super early and got to Bristol at 9am and moved all my furniture downstairs then my mum and Mike arrived with the van and we loaded it all up! Dan took his car and I went in the van with mum and mike to direct them! Got to Chippenham quickly and unloaded then we went over to Dans flat and then the difficult bit! Dan and Mike managed to move the freezer and the washing machine down the thin and winding staircase then into the van, loaded up everything else and got it all the one van load and then went back to the house to unload!!! The house looked much better with all the furniture in it! Lunchtime so we went to the Rowden Arms (Hungry Horse pub) and made masses of food!!! :) Mum and Mike left to head back to Dorset, whilst Dan and I spent all afternoon and evening unpacking evrything! Exhausted but happy :)
Dan went back to work leaving me to unpack stuff as I have got two weeks off work! Put things in the kitchen where I wanted them! :) Was proper housewife type and had dinner on the table for Dan when he got home! Sad!
