Home time today!!! Packed up all our stuff and watched a final bit of snatch it tv!!! Long drive back, went via the supermarket though and bought 6 cases of wine, 2 bottles of champagne and some strawberry liquer stuff plus some sweets!

Dan and I decided it was a great idea to cycle into a village nearby, Cormielles, where there was a market. The cycle was fine on the way there and we wandered round the market, bought some postcards and stamps and went to Bar Le Sulky (!!!) for a drink!!! The cycle back was not so good as we had to cycle up a massive hill and it nearly killed me! Went out for pizza in the evening- had a yummy one- ham, cream and fried egg!!!!! It rained so much will we were in the pizza place but luckily had calmed down a bit by the time we loft. Had to drive through some floods on the way back though!

Got up earlyish as we actually had to go out today! Drove to Bayeux which was about an hour and a half drive. Looked round the Bayeux Tapestry for a couple of hours. Didn’t realise I was so ignorant about history!!! Had a picnic in a park there then wandered round the town for awhile! Drove back to the holiday home and spent another evening drinking wine and eating cheese!!!!! Even had cheese steaks in breadcrumbs! :)

Lazy day!!!!!!!!! Watched some Snatch it on telly and has crossiants and juice for breakfast! Spent most of the morning reading- had got to the third book of the holiday already! Luckily they had loats of at the house as I ran out of mine! Bagette and cheese for lunch and then a trip to Liseaux for food shopping. I went for a walk around the village on my own and took some photos!!! Very relaxing. Drank wine early evening, watched films and had dinner in the garden! This is the life!!!!!!!

Got up earlyish and had breakfast outside. Did a bit more reading then headed of the Caen to the War memorial. Got there about 11.30 and the queue was massive. Queued for about an hour before getting in. Spent a good few hours looking round, stopped for a picnic in the middle! Wandered round the gardens and the Nobel Prize gallery and walked up about 9 flights of stairs to get back into the main building to leave! Dan drove back and it was boiling hot! Had dinner outside in the garden again whilst drinking lots of wine! Played bored games (Dan won!) til late!

Lazed around for awhile in the sun then went shopping in Liseuax for lots of food to last us a couple of days! I bought loads of different cheeses and still had loads of wine left over from the first shop! Had lunch- bagette, cheese and ham!!! Then decided we should go and look around the village. Walked to one side and found a skate park thing, then came back and looked at the church and a few of the little shops then sat around reading and drinking wine for most of the day and managed to have dinner in the garden somewhere in the middle of all that!

The church bells rang at 7am which woke us up but stayed in bed for a few more hours! Got up and had crossiants for brekfast. Went for a drive around to see if we could find anything open but there was nothing apart from cafes!! Went to Bernay and Liseaux then drove back, had lunch and cheese and bagette and started drinking wine early afternoon! Sat out in the sun reading and drinking wine all afternoon! Had pasta and sauce for dinner and more wine out in the garden!!! Lovely!!!!!!!

Packe up the car and left for Dover at 9. Arrived at the ferry by 12.30 but were told that the the 11.45 ferry had still not left and to come back later so we drove round Dover looking for the Tesco which we saw advertised but couldn’r find it anywhere so ended up at Co-op. They were playing Queen when we walked in so that was good but the toilets were minging and the staff were so slow so I don’t think I will be trying one of those again! We ate our sandwiches in the car then headed back to the ferry port for 2 where we queued for an hour to get back to the front of the queue, only to be told that the 11.45 ferry still hadn’t g0ne yet! Ours was meant to leave ar 2.45 and it was already 3. I said that we had been through already so the guy didn’t send us out again, instead we waited at the front of the queue and after half an hour, he said that there were 30 spaces on the 11.45 which was still there so we were sent through for that one and we were let on last incase there wasn’t actually any spaces and I was very stressed at this point!! We finally made it on the ferry and it eventually left at 5!! It arrived in France (French time) at 7 and we managed to find a supermarket still open and get some bread, cheese and wine then we set off to find the house. We only got lost once and arrived there at 11.30 in the dark. Quickly unpacked then went to bed!!

100’s of balloons all over the sky this morning on the way to work! Fantastic!

Just worked two nearly 12 hour days at work to get enough flexi time for my holiday so not much to report! Went for a 2 hour lunch today for someones leaving so at Pizza hut- Mmm all you can eat buffett- I managed to have 7 slices, some pasta and 2 portions of salad!!! It was nice and sunny when we arrived but on the way back there was thunder and lightening and LOADS of rain so got the bus back! Spent most of the day burning CD’s. Boring! Got the train home both days with some rail vouchers that I got for complaing. Also met someone I work with on the train home today who lives in Corsham!
