Tried work again today but by 11, I was boiling hot and dizzy so decided to give up and get the train home. Got the 11.30 train but had to walk back home from the station so didn’t get back until 12.30. Spent the rest of the day on the sofa!
Queen and Paul Rodgers rehearsals
Taken from www.paulrodgers.com:
Q + PR Have Landed
Feb. 15 was the first day of rehearsals for Queen’s Brian May, Roger Taylor, singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers, keyboardist Spike Edney, New York bassist Danny Miranda and guitarist Jaimie Moss. Held at the 243 year old country estate home and studio of drummer Rodger Taylor.
Edit: This was removed from Paul Rodgers website within a few hours!

Decided that I felt a bit better so went back to work today. Not much to catch up on as my team had done most of the work for me! Still not feeling 100% though!

Valentines day

Felt really ill still this morning so didn’t go to work and stayed in bed until 3pm! Forced myself to goto Sainsburys to get Dan a valentines card. It was like a mad rush for cards and flowers- looks of men looking paniced. Feeling ill, I went boiling hot and thought I was going to faint in all the madness, also my nose was hurting so much where it was so sore and cracked so got some sudocrem which instantly made it feel better. I thought I would go and try on some clothes and got myself a skirt in the hope it would make me feel better!
Got home and attempted to make myself look nice for when Dan got home! Dan made us cheese fondue which was AMAZING!! I love cheese :) Made me feel sick so we had a break.
Watched the wedding planner on DVD which play.com sent me by mistake instead of Waynes World. Dan was so pleased to get it as a valentines present instead! :) Dan bought me the fondue set we used for the cheese fondue- it is a cool retro pink fondue set and some lovely roses!
The film was ok and quite funny and we were feeling better so moved on to the chocolate fondue with strawberries, marshmallows and hundreds and thousands! Yummmmmmmmmmmm!!! Couldn’t actually move after all that!!! Yummy yummy yummy!!
Sunday 13.02.05
Got back from Exeter about 3 and went straight to bed. Having trouble breathing now as the cold seems to have moved to my chest and is making my asthma bad. Dan looked after me :) Oh yeah, the stupid washing machine has broken. Great!
George Richardson Lumby!
Woohoo!! Family history breakthrough! Got the marriage cert for my great great grandparents and George has no father listed. I found out from my grandads cousin that George was base born but then his mother married a ‘Richardson’ 6 months later but George kept the surname ‘Lumby’. I couldn’t get back past George but I discovered a witness at his wedding was Walter Richardson and I now think I have found him on 1881 census:
John RICHARDSON Head M Male 38 Stillingfleet, York,England Labourer (Genl)
Ellen RICHARDSON Wife M Female 27 Hemingbrough, York,England Labourer
Hannah Mary RICHARDSON Daugh Female 12 Stillingfleet,York, England Scholar
Martha RICHARDSON Daugh Female 10 Stillingfleet, York,England Scholar
George RICHARDSON Son Male 4 Stillingfleet, York, England Scholar
Walter RICHARDSON Son Male 3 Stillingfleet, York, England
Note how George has dropped the Lumby at this point- this may be a transcription error.
And have also found the marrige of George’s mother, Ellen Lumby, to John Richardson in Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire in 1876 (Sept quarter).
Still can’t find George and his wife Sarah nee St Paul on the 1901 census and it is really starting to annoy me now!!

Back row (L-R): George Richardson Lumby, Sarah Ann Lumby (nee St Paul)
Front row (L-R): Jack (John) Lumby, Thomas Lumby, Ellen Lumby (my great grandmother)
