Rain!!

What a miserable day- raining so hard. We went to McDonalds for breakfast and I had a cheese, egg and bacon bagel and porridge and it was yummy!! Went off to town and got soaked- Dan found some very nice glasses which were super expensive but they were flexible frameless ones or something! Went to Sainsburys for the weekly shop then managed to spend the rest of the day on the internet (and I did my exercise dvd!!).

Day off!

Had the day off to use up my last few days of annual leave and decided that today was the day for doing lots of exercise but just before 9 mum was on msn and said that Bruce Springsteen tickets were about to go on sale and could I help her try and get some. We spent the next hour and a half on two phones calling 2 different phone lines and trying to get through on two websites with no luck- they had all sold out! Tickets were on ebay straight away and some up to £800. Bastard touts. I am very lucky as a Queen fan to get pre-sale tickets.

Went over to The Mall at Cribbs and after hunting for an hour, found THE bag I have been looking for to use on the tour! Only a tenner in BHS!!! Had cheese and ham pitta for lunch and then did my exercise video, cooked dinner, watched trisha all before Dan got home!!

We watched the 46664 show on DVD in the evening and Dan said Roger looks like an old homeless man- hmmmmmmmmm!

Got home at 7 after working a very long day to get my flexi up (less than two weeks til the UK gigs now!!!) and having dinner, all I could manage to do was download stuff from the internet!! I have now got 24 out of the 26 official downloads from www.queenpluspaulrodgers.com which are all just amazing. Also got the whole audio Brixton show and the 46664 concert on video from wwww.queenzone.com. Went out for an all you can eat chinese in Chippenham with Dan, Jacky and two of her workmates as they were all working just down the road from us in Chippenhem. Jacky and Ross are off to Australia on 23 May- lucky things! Had a bit too much wine as the others couldn’t drink much as they were driving and ended up emailing Brian May when I got home!! :)

‘Hi Brian,

I came to see you in Brixton and Paris and even though I am a Queen fan who had not really heard of Paul before, I loved all the songs he sang from his own back catalogue. Seagull was a highlight for me (with the very sexy Roger Taylor on the bongos!!!). I hear that Paul has had a bad throat and some of his songs seem to have disappeared from the set list- is his voice better now and will these songs be returning? I hope Paul is feeling better and I look forward to seeing you guys 8 times in the first two weeks of May!!!

Say hi to Roger for me!!

Sarah’

Somehow I don’t think he is going to reply!!! LOL!

Bristol Zoo!!!

Went to the zoo for our away day today! I wore my new boots as I had tried them at the weekend and they didn’t hurt too much but after walking 10 mins down to where Dave picks me up, I had massive blisters . Took shoes off for an hour whilst waiting at work for Rosemary to pick me up to go to the zoo then putting them back on hurt so much! Took them off when we got there- we were the only 4 people they had booked as a conference for the day so it was all very relaxed. I eat the following:

2 packs of smarties
7 big cookies
1 packet of polos
Most of a bag of jelly sweets
Lots of sandwiches and snacks

Felt very sick decided I am never eating again! When food is free and placed in front of me I find it very hard to eat in moderation!

Walked round the zoo at lunchtime wearing the boots. I have never been in so much pain but I refused to take them off! Couldn’t put them back on when we had to walk back to car at the end of the day and was so glad to be home when I finally got there!! Did exercise video- hurrah!

Me on an island!

Ellesmere

Woke up at 6 and couldn’t get back to sleep which annoyed me. Also had PMT so was in a bad mood anyway. Dan brought me breakfast in bed which cheered me up :) His parents, Dan and I all went up to Ellesmere to see his Gran and we went to a lovely pub on the border of England and Wales. I had the most massive cheese ploughmans I have ever seem complete with pork pie, scotch egg, chips and a whole apple!! Went for a walk around the mere and Dan forced us to go geocaching- there were 3 of them there and the last one had a doll of George Harrison in it which you have to try and join up with the other Beatles- Maybe I should do a Queen geocache?! Got back to Stafford just in time to watch Doctor who and have some cheese and biscuits for dinner!!
