Arnhem Day 2

My birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got up and had breakfast as Dan refused to go and queue at 6am and wanted to have breakfast first. I had to run back upstairs to straighten my hair while Dan and Isabelle finished breakfast. Left the hotel with Isabelle at 8.30 in a taxi. The hotel staff and the taxi driver were horrified that we were queueing so early! When we got to the venue, the only people there were Jamie and Alessia plus two of Isabelle’s friends!

The queue

They had been there since 6am and Alessia was sick. She had to go back to the hotel and sleep for most of the morning. We had to save spaces in the queue for Gavin and Matt who were both due to turn up at 2pm- Gavin had bought tickets from a guy for him, Matt, Jamie and Alessia so Dan and I were the only ones with tickets! Michelle and Jens turned up early- they had been to see the SAS band the night before in Germany and had a blast by the sounds of things. Michelle was wandering round with no shoes on. We decided it would be best if we spread out so they went to queue on the other side (there were two entrances). I went with them to see what was going on on the other side and also to try and find a security guard who would know if it was ok to queue anywhere if we had the old Nimijen tickets. There was nobody queuing at all on the other side so Michelle and Jens went off to McDonalds (and were gone for hours) after we spoke to a security guard who knew nothing and said I had to speak to someone called Mojo when he arrived! LOL!

Jamie, Isabelle and I made a fly for the bombings- No hate, no fight on a UK flag!

The flag

I think it was still before 10am at this point and the sun had come out- it was boiling. Not sure if I remember much about the rest of the day. It was so hot and my contact lenses were playing up. There was a McDonalds nearby so we had that for lunch and drank loads of water. Brigitte and Queenie turned up at some point as did the Austrian guys who were still sunburnt a week later from Lisbon! Michelle came over to see us during the afternoon with a bottle of JD and some water she had got for us- we spent some time baaaahing at each other!

A merchandise stand was set up and I got to look at the new tour programme- I was in it!! I borrowed and copy and showed everyone!!! LOL! I even told the random people selling it!

More people started turning up about midday and the queue was the largest I had seen so far on the tour by 2pm! Gavin called when they were on the way and said the guy with the tickets wouldn’t turn up until after the doors open so Jamie and I had to try and get 4 tickets from somewhere else. Managed to buy two from people in the queue so 2 left to go. The box office was due to open at 2 and we found a guy who had 2 standing tickets but was queuing to buy seated tickets so we bought the standing ones from him! While we were waiting for the box office opened, some of the band turned up- we waved at Brian, Paul and Jamie through their car windows but missed Roger. Cynthia, Paul Rodgers wife came out and spoke to me, Jamie and Michelle for a bit. She said that her and Paul were watching the DVD and saw us on there! Yay!

Gavin phoned and said Matt’s flight was delayed so they didn’t actually turn up until 4pm in the end! I was panicking like mad and went to the toilet about 60 million times just in case! My contact lenses were really bad at this point and I only had one refresher drop left before we went in. I had to shut my eyes for an hour to rest them! I think the sun was drying them out! 2 people tried to queue jump a few times then the girl fainted and they got to go the other side of the barrier for a while. Dan remembers them from some other concert we have been to and is sure they tried queue jumping then as well. Just before the doors opened, they were let back in and I had gone to the toilet (again!). When I got back there was nearly a fight going on as they tried to nick my space! Luckily I got it back!

At around 4pm some idiot decided it was a good time to stand up. The entire queue stood up and had to stand like cattle for the next hour and a half. Doors opened at 5.30ish and Jamie and I didn’t get searched as we already told the guy what we had and it was my birthday! Dan and Alessia were going in one gate and Jamie and I in the other. GO!! We ran into the pitch black from bright sunshine and couldn’t see a thing. Got to the spot we wanted on the left hand side of the stage at the front corner!! Yay! Seemed like ages before Dan got there but in reality it was only a few seconds- he was delayed as his ticket didn’t scan the security guard on his gate actually searched him and Alessia! Time goes so slowly when you are getting into the venue. Then we had the usual wait there until something happened.

Gavin, Matt, Alessia, Jamie and me

It was the only stadium on the summer bit of the tour that had a roof and the place was BOILING even before the show started! My contact lenses were still bad but I refused to take them out, as I wouldn’t be able to see Roger very well! I had one last go with the refresher drops- took the one that was playing up out and washed it. Put it back in and it was slightly better but not perfect – forced myself to cry to make it better and the security guard took pity on me and got me some water which I just poured in my eyes (not what you are meant to do) then closed by eyes for an hour and they were better- thank god for that!

Me having problems with my contact lenses!

There was a support band that were not so bad and I even managed to dance along to some of the songs! The leader singer was a very angry teenage girl and Brian watched them from the wings for a bit.

All our group sang happy birthday to me while we were waiting for the show to start and lots of people joined in! Cool!! Dan text Dave, our friend who has moved to Holland and we managed to spot him in the crowd and he managed to get over to where we were for the show! Had a text from Michelle who was at the front of the cat walk- spent ages looking over for her and finally spotted her and we all waved! This was the last time I saw her :(

Then QUEEN!!!! Think were on stage about 8.30 and the temperate rose another good few degrees- BOILING!!

The set list was:

Paul Rodgers and Brian May

No surprises but the crowd were amazing!!! HOLLAND ROCK!!!

I was trying to get Roger to say happy birthday to me but no luck! Also tried it with Paul and he read my ‘Are you Roger Taylor?’ t-shirt and replied ‘No he is darling’ and pointed to Roger and laughed right in the middle of ‘I want to break free’! Aaaaah! You can hear it loud and clear on the bootleg! Brian spent a lot of time looking at us again- bless him! I said I love you to Paul and he was it back!! Aaaaah! He spotted Gavin and touched his hand (AGAIN!). Managed to get Roger’s attention with a condom on the way back from Say It’s Not True!

At the end, we threw our No hate, No flight flag (which they all acknowledge) to Roger and he put it over the camera lenses!!! Cool!!!

The band actually made quite a few mistakes during the show (All right now, Last Horizon!) but it didn’t matter at all! The crowd rocked and the atmosphere was amazing!!!

I can’t believe how amazing and hot I felt after the gig- all I needed was water! Jamie, being American, pushed through the crowd and managed to get to McDonalds, get water and find us outside before we had even got out of the venue! Downed the bottle of water and we screamed at a few people we knew! Jumped in a taxi and went back to the hotel. We all had 15 mins to go and get changed but I had to have a cold shower- I was still sweating buckets! Dan had one too! Met everyone in the bar and had a couple of drinks to celebrate my birthday! Went off to find food about 1am and found a kebab shop open- I had to explain about 5 times that I wanted chips in pitta bread with cheese on the top and he was bemused by this but managed it very well then everyone else had that too apart from Jamie!! Heaven for everyone came on the radio when we were eating our food (there was only about 4 other people in the place) so we got up and sang! Everyone sang happy birthday to me as well!! Yay!

Porr Dan

Went back to the hotel but the bar had shut. We found Terry and Isabelle having a chat on the sofa but decided it was all too much and went to BED!!!!

Arnhem Day 1

Dan and I flew to Amsterdam on Saturday morning. We drove to Bristol airport and parked in the carpark. I then got in a mood because of something to do with where we had walked to to get the bus to the terminal. I also got in a panic because I thought the bus would never come and we would miss the flight or something. It was all fine and I coped ok with the flight- I even managed to look out the window a bit! We arrived in Amsterdam and got the train down to Arnhem. I love Dutch trains!

Me in Arnhem train station

As it was my birthday the next day and we would be at the gig all day, Dan took me out in the evening to a lovely Italian restaurant! The waitresses spoke English and we all had a good laugh about using the phrase book to translate the menu since it was in both Italian and English. After that we went back to the hotel for some drinks with Isabelle, then Alessia and Jamie turned up who had come over to Holland on a coach! By this time it was about 10.30pm and they couldn’t be bothered to go and find their hotel so cancelled it and booked in to ours! Terry turned up (the guy we met in Lisbon a few days before!) He bought us some champagne and we celebrated my birthday at midnight!! Everyone sang happy birthday to me at the turn of midnight! Jamie even managed to sing happy birthday to the tune of We Will Rock You! Managed to get the guy in the bar to play some Queen for us and there were also some other fans around! What a great night!!!

The day after….

I woke up shaking this morning. I should have gone to work instead of taking it was leave but I couldn’t cope with it. Stayed in bed most of the morning and cried as I watched the news. Jen and Trina had already got to Bristol before they knew Hyde Park was postponed so I went to meet them in the wetherspoons next to my work. We had a few drinks and I told them all about Lisbon and Cologne. My leg had got really bad from where I got stung weeing in a bush so had to leave and go to the doctor! Got some cream for it- hopefully it won;t get infected! Minging!

Day 3 - The London bombings

Jamie had to get a plane at 7.45ish and mine was 9ish so we got up at 6 and left to hotel in a taxi by 6.30. I felt so rough. Got to the airport far too early and slept for a while. Went over to check in and met Isabelle who was on the same flight. It was nice to sit with someone on the way back. We arrived in Gatwick and went to get the train but they kept announcing there were power surges on the tube so it was shut. We didn’t have far to walk when we got to Victoria so I figured it was fine. We got on the train into central London and by the time we got there, someone had said that bombs had gone off. Shortly after we arrived, they shut Victoria station. It was 10am now and I was so hungry, we just went to Burger King. People were trying to contact us but we had no idea what was going on really and the phone networks had gone down. Isabelle walked to her hotel and I went down to our office in Victoria so I could use the phone. I looked a right state and had to meet my Board Director and see the Chief Executive!!! Talked to our press office and finally realised the scale of what had happened so I phoned Dan and told him I was OK. He had been very worried. I then started panicking about Jamie- the last I heard from her is that she was on a bus to Russell Square and a bomb had gone off in a bus going to Russell Square. Turned out later that she had been asleep in a hotel the whole time! All my friends were travelling down to London that day so I went on Queenonline and said I was ok. Checked to see if everyone else was ok and a lot of the people travelling had already turned back to go home. Queen didn’t know what was going to happen with Hyde Park so I figured it would be cancelled. About 2.30, our building got evacuated so I gave up and walked to Hyde Park to see if I could find out what was happening. Spoke to a security guard who said it had been postponed until next week then about 10 mins later I had a phone call from Vern to tell me that Queen had officially announced that so I then walked to Paddington where luckily the trains had started again. They let me use my apex ticket and I was so relieved to get home.

Cologne Day 2

Jamie wanted to leave at 6 in the morning for the stadium but we managed to persuade her to go a bit later. Eliza, Jamie and I all planned to travel to the stadium together so had breakfast together then got a taxi and arrived at 9am. Had NO idea where to queue and the place was huge. After walking round for about half an hour and not finding anybody, we started to a queue at a gate on the South side of the stadium just before 2 girls arrived. One had been at the Leipzig concert so I started quoting at her! She looked a bit scared! So there were only 5 of us for what seemed like hours. It poured with rain, Jamie read Harry Potter, Eliza went to find some shelter and I just sat there in my stupid red raincoat! Eliza was right- Germans don’t queue!!!

The queue in Cologne

There were no toilets or shops for miles around that we could see but there was a park across the road with lots of bushes and trees so I went to the loo in a bush (quite a few times!) and managed to get stung on my leg.

Andy and his friend arrived about lunchtime, as did the John Deacon guys! We had so many conversations with the security guard trying to confirm we were queuing in the right place- he even showed us a map and radioed somebody to confirm it but early afternoon, it all went wrong. We were in the WRONG place AGAIN!!! Why is it SO difficult?!!! Me and Nico walked round to check out the queue which was described as a building site at the North left hand corner as we heard there were only a few people there- turned out that was true so we called up everyone else and told them to get round here ASAP! There were 4 woman in front of me but were spaced out so it was only really one person. Got chatting to them waiting for everyone else. Still no sign of Brigitte at this point- panic! A German TV station turned up and Jamie was interviewed, in doing this she got pushed to the front of the queue!!! We heard Queen doing the sound check and Brian was there!!! He must be feeling better! Brigitte finally turned up not long before the doors opened!

Doors opened at 5 (ish!) and Jamie got through first- I was shouting for her to run again! She was the first person to get to the gold circle were she had to be wristbanded and then she ran in and got the left hand corner- exactly where we wanted to be! I got to the gold circle not long after and it seemed like ages while I was being wristbanded and I was just saying ‘please please please’ to the guy doing it. I ran in and there were a few other people there but had no problem at all getting my space! Thanks Jamie!!!

Us in Cologne

Everyone was quite spaced out and we stood up most of the time waiting because of the rain.

JDFK

Jamie and me in the rain

It was great because we could actually get out to go to the toilet/buy food/merchandise and get back to our spaces! It decided to chuck it down with rain just before the concert started but it was so refreshing and nice! They actually had to come out and brush the water off the catwalk!

Removing the water from the catwalk

We Will Rock You Cologne

The gig was AMAZING! I shouted I love you to Paul and he said thanks and blew me a kiss! They played really well and watching most of the concert in the light was brilliant!!!! We did a dance in Crazy Little Thing Called love and Paul copied it! He looked at us loads of did Brian! Jamie had one condom and threw it at Roger who picked it up and turned round and gave us the biggest grin ever and looked right in my eyes in the day light! The cast of WWRY Cologne joined the band on stage at the end for We Will Rock You/ We Are The Champions! It rained on and off during the show. Roger ran back down the catwalk after Radio Ga Ga!

I totally lost Jamie as we left the stadium and spent 15 mins looking for her. She was standing in the middle of a park shouting Sarah at the top of her voice! We got a taxi back to the hotel and found some fans already outside. We went in and I rushed upstairs to get rushed and straighten my hair while Jamie got some drinks in. Rushed downstairs panicking that I might miss Queen arriving but it was ok! We saw Veikko who told me not to drink too much while I was standing there with a large German beer!

Me drinking a large German beer

Paul was the first to arrive with Cynthia and he only stopped briefing for a chat. We told him we really enjoyed the gig and it was the best yet!. Pointed out to him that he imitated the dance we were doing during Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and he agreed, then we told him how many shows we went to and Cynthia said we were crazy!!! They then went off to their hotel room and never returned.

Next to arrive was Brian who stopped outside and signed loads of stuff. We waited in the lobby with our beers! He came up to us with a welcoming look, seemed happy we weren’t hounding him with picture requests and whatnot. He voluntarily put his arms around us we talked about how great the gig was. I babbled on about food poisoning, and how worried we were and glad to hear he’s feeling better. He was happy, he said something about the food in Lisbon. Jamie couldn’t stress how good the gig was and the outdoor lighting made it fantastic. We also told him how many gigs we’d been to and he said “Bloody Hell!” and I almost replied with “Bloody Hell, Leipzig!”

Roger snuck in through the back, but since we’re staying at the same hotel, we were in the lobby. We went up to him and Sarah asked if we could have a chat for two minutes. We told him, again, that it was the best gig yet, and he was really taken aback, he said he didn’t agree, we told him we liked the outdoor lighting and he said that they don’t like that lighting. We mentioned the rain, I said I liked it because it was cooling, he made some sort of response saying he didn’t like it too much. Sarah then said well he was protected back at the drum kit, but he said he had to go on the catwalk anyway. Then we asked if he recognized us and he said “Yeah! Actually I do, from the front row!” Aaaaaaah! He also said that he had to take it easy today because of his wrist, so we took the opportunity to ask what had happened and he said it was just a little sprain. He said that he was glad we liked the show then turned and went into the bar.

Trip Kalef arrived somewhere in the middle of all this and I got my picture taken with him. We also got chatting to a random guy who knew Trip and he actually worked for Mariah Carey.

Sarah and Trip

Cooper, Eliza, Brigitte and Elenir turned up about 1am and we were still out in the lobby drinking (Brian and Roger were in the bar area). Then some girls came in and asked if we were English and I said I was. They asked if Mark Owen from Take That was here and I started screaming! I love Mark Owen. Nobody else had a clue who he was!! We didn’t see him though!

We headed into the bar where we saw Jens and his friend so stood with them. Roger was there nearby with Rory, Dominique and Justine.

Brian was over chatting to people from WWRY Cologne. Spike and Jamie (Moses) were also in the bar and Brigitte was chatting to Jamie (Moses). She went off to speak to her friend on the other side of the bar and had to brush past Roger!

Later on, Brian looked like he was off to bed so I went over to say good night. He smiled at me and gave me a kiss of the cheek then I chatted with him and Viekko. Brian was asking how I could go to all these concerts and I explained how I paid off my student loan and worked for the government so I got lots of leave! I explained that my boyfriend didn’t actually like Queen and Brian said he could understand!!! LOL! Said good night and he said good night to a few people from WWRY. I went to get Jamie from the Internet café so she could say good night to him too!

Shortly after Roger went off to bed but we didn’t get the chance to say good night.

I then chatted to a girl who was in WWRY for a bit. Later still, we were sitting at a table and then two random guys came and we told them that Queen had been there. They didn’t believe it at first. Then one shouted “Brian - come back!” and they both kept asking me who Roger Taylor was. They didn’t exactly know Paul Rodgers so I sang them some short versions of the all songs!! Oh dear! They did recognise them though! We were the last ones in the bar except for an ugly old drunkard.

Jamie was still up when I got to our room and I just crashed out. 3 hours sleep later……….

Some quotes from the Guardian.

Roger Taylor, the group’s drummer, said yesterday he was staggered by the news. Speaking from Lisbon, the latest leg of Queen’s European stadium tour, he said: “We were always incredibly ambitious. But we never expected to see a list that read Queen, then the Beatles, then Elvis.”

“We never thought we would tour again,” said Taylor. “Paul came along by chance and we seemed to have a chemistry. Paul is just such a great singer. He’s not trying to be Freddie.”

Cologne Day 1

Left Bristol on the 2.30pm train- got phone calls and texts from both Gavin and Vern about Roger on Richard and Judy as I was missing it. Brian didn’t turn up as he was ill- very worrying- hope he is better for the gig tomorrow!!

Got to Gatwick about 5pm and met up with Andy who was also flying out to Cologne but on a different flight 5 mins after me! LOL! We had a couple of drinks in the bar there then I had to go and board my flight- I was so nervous as this was the first time I was ever going to fly on my own! Arrived in Cologne at 9.30pm and found Brigitte and Eliza waiting for me at the airport!!!! Yay! I was telling them about Brian in speedos in Lisbon which made Brigitte take the wrong turning of the motorway! After we got on the right road, Brigitte drove us to the hotel past the musical dome where We Will Rock You Cologne is on!

We went to the hotel and had a few drinks from an outside bar thing. When we were going to sit down at the table, I happened to look over at the hotel entrance and who did I see going through the revolving doors!?! Roger Taylor!!!!!!!!! I actually spotted Justine, his PA first but then I saw a white shirt and I knew it was him! We saw some people up on the first floor of the hotel from outside and were sure it was Roger and Paul with the rest of the band – we saw them head downstairs then they came out the front door and it was just some randoms!!! At around 1am the bar had shut and some more Queen fans had turned up- Matti had been telling us that he had seen Paul Rodgers and some of the rest of the band that day but Brian wasn’t there (which we knew as he was ill- panic!!!) and he hadn’t seen Roger. He had managed to see Mariah Carey 5 times though!! She then actually arrived too so we went to watch her go in to the hotel- she was not very nice to her fans and complained she was cold- put a bloody jumper on then!!!

Mariah Carey arriving at the Hotel

Jamie and I went to check into the hotel around 1.30am and as we were at the check in desk, Roger walked through the lobby with some blonde women! We asked if Brian was feeling any better and he said ‘Hopefully, I’m sure he’ll be ok’ then disappeared off into the lift!

Queen top UK album charts league

Queen are one of the most successful UK bands of all time.
Queen have beaten The Beatles to become the most successful music act in UK album chart history, according to Guinness World Records.

The band - whose first self-titled album debuted in 1973 - have spent 1,322 weeks on the chart.

It is the first time Queen have overtaken the Fab Four in the chart, which is compiled by the Book of British Hit Singles and Albums.

1. Queen (1,322 weeks)

Queen, whose albums include A Kind of Magic, The Miracle and Innuendo, have spent 29 weeks more in the chart than the Beatles.

David Roberts, editor of the book of British Hit Singles and Albums, said: “Given that Queen’s chart career has been much shorter than those of The Beatles and Elvis, this is an incredible achievement.

“They’ve long been written about with reverence in the pages of our book, and this just serves to cement their legendary status.”

Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died in 1991, but the band have continued to perform.

They wind up their current 32-date European tour with former Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers this week with a performance in London’s Hyde Park on Friday.

Lisbon Day 3

Alessia and I got up about 8 and had breakfast! As we were about to get the life back to the room, Queen came on and we screamed. The cleaner rushed round the corner to see if we were ok!!! We wandered round the centre of Lisbon for the day and went to a café. Spotted a bloke with a Queen t-shirt on and he came and sat with us for a while talking about Queen! Jamie then turned up as she had missed her plane and was stuck in Lisbon! More fans walked into the café so we said hi to them, then Jamie, Alessia and I went on tram to an Internet café! How sad!!

Alessia and I then had to go and get our plane. Got to the departures lounge and bumped into the guys we met at the bands hotel on the Friday night! They had seen Brian and Paul in the swimming pool (not Roger though!) and had seen them all at breakfast and stuff! Ahhhhhhhhh! They though we were mad for queuing from 7.30am!! Had a good flight back then drove back from Heathrow and got in at midnight!! Exhausted!

Lisbon Day 2

Photos!

Alessia and I got up and down to breakfast for 6.30am feeling very sick and bad from the night before! All the flash backs of the things I said to Roger started to come back and I knew that wasn’t a good thing! Tried to eat as much as possible but was feeling very sick! Just about managed to straighten my hair then we jumped in a taxi to the stadium, Arrived about 7.30am to find Jamie waiting there with Andrea who we met the night before plus the Portuguese guys! Talked to them for a bit and watched the video Andrea took of me talking to Roger the previous night! I almost fainted- I am going to be so embarrassed when I see that full screen!

The day went on and more people arrived- the Austrian guys, Isabelle, Pierre and his mum plus the Portuguese fan club and about 9am, the sun was starting to get very hot. There was a panic about lunchtime that we had been queuing in the wrong (every time- why?!!). Jamie had gone back to the hotel to sleep and Andrea and I walked off round the back leaving Alessia with all our stuff. Spoke to a security guard round the back who confirmed we were actually queuing in the wrong place. By the time we had walked back round to where we had been queuing in the boiling hot sunshine everyone had moved. Finally found them queuing in the right place. Alessia had got the Portuguese guys to help her carry all our stuff and had saved us space at the front. Unfortunately the queue was totally in the sun and there was hardly any shade. All the Portuguese were sensible and sat in the shade and I had to join them but Alessia stayed there in the sun all afternoon!

All I ate all day was 3 ice lollies and I drank 4 litres of water. There was a toilet in the garage down the road so we could use that but it was disgusting! Everyone stood up about 4 which was an hour before the gates were due to open so we had to stand for an hour. A TV crew arrived and asked if we were from England and if they could interview us at 5 as part of the Portuguese Live 8 coverage. The doors were due to open at 5 but we said yes as long as it didn’t hold us up getting! They came back at 5 and everyone was pushing, we all did a sing song then we were live on TV!! The interviewer asked me where we were from so I explained that I was from England, Alessia was from Italy but living in London and Jamie was from America. She asked what I thought about Queen and Live 8 so I said something like it’s a shame they couldn’t do the show and I would have been there if Queen weren’t playing in Lisbon! Alessia said something too. She then asked us if we had anything else to add and I said ‘I love Roger Taylor’ and Alessia shouted ‘Bloody hell Leipzig’. I read a few days later on Brian’s website that Queen had been watching Live 8 in their dressing room so they may have seen us!!

Being interviewed on TV

The doors finally opened at 5.30 ish after we had a bit of an argument with the security guard who then threatened to let the Portuguese in first but it was actually the Austrian guy that got through first then me. We ran down some steps and there was nobody about to stop us running! Got to more steps and I could then hear footsteps behind me, it was Jamie overtaking me. I shouted ‘Run like hell’ to her and I have never seen anyone run so fast in all my life!! We had to run through the seats at the back of the stadium- all of this I found hard because of my flip flops then we got on the flat ground of the stadium and I did my best to catch up!! We all got to the front row of the catwalk and turned round to see all the Portuguese just walking in!!!!

In the front row

The stadium took ages to fill up and we could easily wander off and get back to our place. We all bought some drumsticks and Andrea and Alessia were banging them against the barrier so hard, it was hurting my head. Met two women behind us who were Paul Rodgers fans and actually knew Paul so we chatted to them for ages. A random bloke arrived and said he has just seen us on TV from his hotel room! Turns out Terry was a mad fan from the UK and did all the summer shows! I was feeling bad and had to sit down through the support band. Queen finally arrived on stage at 9.30pm when it was just getting dark! The catwalk was long so we were quite way back (as I was telling Roger the night before!) but the show was great! I was texting Vern and Didy with the setlist all the way through and they were keeping everyone on QOL updated! LOL! The set list was one of the standard ones and nowhere near the length of Belfast and Dublin which I felt was quite disappointing but I loved the atmosphere at the gig! We managed to forget the condoms but did told up our flag which they spotted!!!
