On Sunday night, Top gear showed Roger being presented with the award for best driving song. He was out on his boat somewhere and his two youngest daughters were there!

Thanks to Dan and Chrissy for the pix!
The following is from www.brianmay.com:
TOP GEAR: Of course we did have an award made but then we ran into a bit of a problem. We did, because you see Brian May, the guitarist with Queen says he doesn’t like THAT song(?!!), Freddie Mercury’s sort of dead, we couldn’t remember the other bloke’s name actually so it couldn’t go to him, so that just left the drummer, who in accordance with EU Rock Star Regulations was floating around the Med on his yacht.
[Scene switches to a quayside… somewhere on the Med.]
JAMEES MAY (TOP GEAR PRESENTER): Right… in a moment we’re going to present Roger Taylor with this Greatest Driving Song Trophy, which we purchased for the princely sum of 699 pence. The only slight problem is the local engraver is a bit rubbish frankly, and he’s left the DON’T out of “Don’t Dtop Me Now” - for crying out loud.
[On deck…]
Roger Taylor, on behalf of Top Gear I’d like to present you with this Greatest Drving Song In The World Ever Award. It’s to you and the other members of Queen for “Stop Me Now”. I’m sorry it’s such a poor quality trophy.
ROGER TAYLOR: No, no, no. no, don’t say that. No actually, do. Yeah, we’ll treasure this for ever and it’ll go into our enormous Gong Cupboard and thank you on behalf of the band. Thank you so much to your viewers.
Turned out to be a lovely day for it. Met lots of Dan’s great aunty and uncles for all over the place including Dorset and had some lovely food!!
*sigh*
Been feeling ill all week and thought I was better today but I get home and I am feeling really sick again. Been back at week for 2 weeks since I went back to work after 2 weeks of Queen and a week of holiday in France and I am finding it really hard to get back to normal. I speak to Queen friends everyday and am missing them all like crazy :( I’m sure it will get better and this seems really silly to be like this but it was one of the best times of my life!

I'm Sarah, I'm 28 and I'm from the West Country. I have liked Queen since 1991. I saw Roger 14 times on the Electric Fire tour and I went to 21 shows on the Queen & Paul Rodgers tour!
