Happy birthday Roger!!
Happy birthday, 59 today!!! :) The big 60 next year….
Terry took me to Bristol Zoo for an evening with John Cleese! He was brilliant and we got to meet him afterwards after drinking too much champagne! As he was leaving, he hid behind me and then hit me with a programme!!!

Here is the latest from Spike Edney (the wizard!!) taken from www.sasband.com:
Dear Friends of The SAS Band, What a month it’s been! Major events for all members of the band…. First of all there was the Mandela concert in Hyde Park - two weeks of intense rehearsal and four hours of high energy performance. It was a great honour for the band to appear at Nelson’s 90th birthday celebration. Two of our highlights were playing with the Soweto Gospel Choir and Amy Winehouse! It was however, very exhausting and we barely had time to dust ourselves off, when it was time to head off to sunny Sweden to the Pite Havsbad Festival (pausing swiftly at The Brook for a quick warm-up). Great fun was had by all, but now it’s time for myself and Jamie to set our sights on the upcoming tour with Brian, Roger and Paul. We kick off early September in Russia and finish in Rio in December. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. Hope to see you somewhere along the way.
Oh yeah… and Jamie got married!
Cheers, Spike
On another note, it looks like the annual Christmas concerts won’t happen this year because of the Queen and Paul Rodgers tour :(
For my birthday, Terry took me to Torquay and Cornwall! Photos!
In Torquay, we met Trina, Jen and Wayne and went out for dinner as Pirates!!

On Friday, we went to St Austell and the Eden Project where we saw Bill Baily! He was very funny and we saw lots of plants!

In the morning on Saturday, I went for a walk along the cliff and saw some lovely flowers!

We then drove down to Charlestown bay!

We then went to Penzance via Marazion where we got to see St Michael’s Mount! Went to the Goldolphin Arms for lunch, overlooking the mount then went to Penzance to check in! We then went to see St Ives and Lands End!

On Sunday, we went for a walk along the sea front to Newlyn then went out for dinner in the evening to the Admiral Benbo pub! It was so funny, they had a proper old juke box and even played a few Queen songs! The wife of the landlord kept telling him to turn the music down! A lovely old pub!

Headed home on the very long drive on Sunday and got to see all the road schemes on the A30 that I used to work on.. Bodmin to Indian Queens, Carland Cross to Chiverton Cross and Temple to Higher Carblake! LOL!

I'm Sarah, I'm 28 and I'm from the West Country. I have liked Queen since 1991. I saw Roger 14 times on the Electric Fire tour and I've been to 43 shows on the Queen & Paul Rodgers tours!
