Mum and I babysat my niece today. The kittens were there too- 3 of them, all 4 weeks old!!! So cute! My niece keep picking them up and putting them back in the corner where they are living as if they were toys! She also managed to stamp in lots of puddles when we walked into Weymouth and we saw some trains! Mum and I were both exhausted by the afternoon but my niece just kept going! God knows where children get so much energy :)
Dan and I didn’t managed to get until gone 11 and Dan managed to use all the hot water so I couldn’t even have a bath! Went to Gran and Grandads for lunch (fish and chips!) then talked Grandad through how far I’ve got on the family tree and he managed to remember some more on the Dennett side of the family. Left and picked up mum in Maiden Newton then drove to Beaminster- went round the cemetry but didn’t find anything then went to church and managed to find a possible ‘Mills’ there. Tried Litton Cheney but couldn’t find the church, then tried Little Bredy but no luck there! Very interesting though to see the villages where my relatives lived in 1800!!! Had a cheese sandwich back at mums then Dan and I left for Chippenham. Got home about 7, had dinner then spent the evening filling in application forms!!!
Mum and I got up about 9 and had breakfast in the garden. Did some gardening in the morning and discovered we have spring onions and pototoes growing at the end of the garden. Cleaned the pond out as it was FULL of algae then decided to go for a walk about 11.30. We walked the 3 miles to Biddestone through the local wood and along the cycle route. It was a lovely sunny day and the walked managed to get us 7,000 steps towards to the target of 10,000!!! Decided there was no possible way we could walk back so had to phone Dan and got him to pick us up during his lunch hour. While we waited, we had a drink at the pub then sat by the duck pond!
Dan arrived to take us home then went back to work! Mum and I had lunch, did a bit more gardening then watched some TV progs that Dan had recorded such as ‘You are what you eat’!!! Drove mum to the station for 5 then went home and packed. Dan came home and packed up his stuff then we drove up to Stafford, well he drove and I slept! Arrived there about 9pm intime to watch the Big Brother final- Go Nadia! Had some dinner and packed off to bed early!
Had lie in until 10 then had to get up manically and get dressed and clean the house in half an hour then drove into town to collect mum from the train station! We quickly nipped into Chippenham and I paid some money in the back then we went home and set off for Ikea! Had lunch in the cafe there which was yummy and then shopped! I bought a shower rack and a sheet for the bed, and mum bought some photo frames and a basket! Ikea declined her Egg credit card and we found out later this was because mum had changed her address when she moved but Egg have been sending post to her old address which was returned even though it should have been forwarded to the new address so they have frozen her card. A similar thing is happening with Dan at the moment but he only has a savings account. They seem to have become quite useless. Gald I got out when I did!!! Quickly nipped into work and picked up my application form from my boss then drove to Filton to post it on the way home at the sorting office. Got back and did some gardening and waited for Dan to get home then cooked Spagetti Carbonara and garlic bread with salad! Yummy! Then off we went to see Treana and the Wire Daisies……..
Picked up mum from the market at 12 and went to Gran and Grandads for sandwiches!!!! Drove to down to the Swanage railway with 3 of us crammed in the back of the car on another boiling hot day! Caught the steam train at Nprdon all the way to Swanage and got a see a lovely view of Corfe Castle. Looked at the engine at whilst at Swanage and had an ice-cream, even managed to catch a bit of the carnival going by! Headed back on the train, then back to Maiden Newton again via Dorchester to drop Gran and Grandad off! Had some dinner (more Tesco finest burgers) and got home about 9ish.
Got up nice and early and nipped into town to get a few more presents and stuff then got to Gran and Grandads by 11 to pick then up! We all arrived in Weymouth at the Spy Glass Inn for lunch. David, Laura and Morgan turned up about half an hour later!!!! Had a gorgeous huge lasagne and 3 glasses of wine!! We all played in Morgan in the garden in the lovely hot sunshine then headed off mid afternoon back to Maiden Newton via Dorchester! Lazed around in the un then left to go and see the SAS Band ……
Grandads 80th birthday meal photos!
Got attacked by the awful dogs first thing in the morning! Dan and I went to my Gran and Grandads house for an hour where I got my birthday pressies and money and Dan had an unbirthday present! Grandad also gave us 3 bottles of wine which we are going to take to the hut with us next weekend for MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Helped mum out at the market by loading up the car then Mum, Dan and I went down to Weymouth! Laura met us in town with Morgan and she showed us how she could walk!!! Bought a swimming costume in M&S and while I was in the changing room, Morgan had managed to pick up a shoe and offer it to a random women, and also try to use it as a phone!!!! Went back to Davids house after he finished work and played with Morgan! One of their cats who is really still a kitten is pregnant!! Its going to a be like a mad house- loads of gerbils, a baby, 2 cats and some kittens!
Went to Tesco on the way home and got some chinese and sweets! Ate all of that and had some more wine in the evening and I was asleep by 11!
Slept over at David and Laura’s then had to babysit Morgan when they went to work! Only had to look after her for 4 and half hours and nothing major went wrong!!! Laura made her some sandwiches and milk so we were sorted!!! Dan and I took her for a walk down to Weymouth seafront which used up about an hour and a half! Had fish and chips on the beach and tried to get Morgan to eat her sandwiches which she then threw on the floor! She started crying so we brided her with icecream and she was quiet and played with a toy phone all the way home!!! Couldn’t get her to go to sleep in her cot so she slept on dan’s leg instead!!!!
Stopped off at mums on the way back to get my Queen boxset then drove back to Chippenham! Exhausted!
We all went round to Laura’s parents house for the party!!!!! There were only a few kids there and I spent most of the afternoon drinking!!!!!! :) Had a buffet lunch and was very impressed that my Dad had managed to turn up!!! Went back to David and Lauras in the evening and stayed the night ready for babysitting duties the next day!!!
